TRAIN YOUR DOG TO STOP PULLING ON LEAD
The best collar to stop dogs pulling on the lead, transforming even the worst pullers into happy, well-behaved pets.
Voted ‘Best New Product’ by the UK pet industry when first launched, the Canny Collar is simple to fit, easy to use, kind, safe, comfortable and effective.
UNIQUE DESIGN
Our unique, patented ‘behind-the-head’ design means the Canny Collar does not ride up into your dog’s eyes nor yank their head to one side, both of which will cause distress, discomfort and which could damage their neck.
TRAINS YOUR DOG TO WALK ON A REGULAR COLLAR
Can be used in both ‘training collar mode’ and ‘regular collar mode’ by easily dropping the slip line (nose band) off your dog's nose as needed. This way, you can train your dog to eventually walk on a regular collar and lead.
A COMFORTABLE FIT
The slip line over your dog’s nose is soft, strong and adjusts easily to fit the shape of your dog’s face. As it is only one light piece of webbing, your dog is able to breathe easily, pant and even carry a ball or toy in her mouth. Because of this, it will never be confused with a muzzle when meeting other dog owners.
The collar that fits around the neck is made from high quality, padded, cushioned webbing which is both strong and comfortable. When your dog is happy she will be much more receptive to training.
TOTAL CONTROL
Your lead attaches to the D rings on the slip line. This works independently of the collar, giving you a direct connection to your dog’s ‘steering’.
The slip line eliminates pulling and lunging by applying gentle pressure when your dog pulls and immediately releasing the pressure as your dog stops. The collar part stays in a fixed position, just like your dog’s regular collar.
SAFE & SECURE
Because the Canny Collar fastens behind the head and not under the chin, your dog cannot lift her paw over her lead and pull the collar off her head. Even if she manages to get a claw into the slip line and pull it off her nose, your lead is still secured to the D rings and so she cannot escape.
The nickel-plated steel buckle provides added reassurance and ensures a secure fastening that will never snap free. This means your dog is always safe, avoiding any potential danger for both of you.

Fitting and Using a canny Collar
FITTING & USING A CANNY COLLAR
Why we love the Canny Collar
STEP 1
Fasten the Canny Collar around your dog's neck, ensuring the buckle is positioned just behind his ears at the back. Fold any excess collar and tuck it under the lip of the buckle. The Canny Collar should fit higher up the neck than a conventional collar, as shown.
STEP 2
A snug fit is essential with any dog training collar to ensure that it cannot come off your dog whilst walking.
STEP 3
Pull each end of the thin slip line behind your dog's head and attach your lead to both 'D' rings at each end.
STEP 4
Pull the slip line through the small yellow plastic guider at the front of the Canny Collar and place over your dog's snout. Take care not to twist the slip line before placing it over your dog's snout.
STEP 5
Ensure you leave the plastic guider under your dog's chin. This is absolutely vital.
STEP 6
When your dog starts pulling on the lead, apply gentle backward pressure. Instant release of the pressure occurs when he stops pulling.
STEP 7
When letting your dog off lead, the Canny Collar can be left on him by removing the slip line from his snout and pulling it out fully. Cross the slip line behind his head and drop it either side of his head.
STEP 8
Bring the D rings together to meet underneath his chin and use one or two of the optional carabiner clips to secure the D rings together.
When walking your dog, your lead should be kept short but loose so you can control him quickly and easily. An extendable lead, or similar dog training equipment, is not recommended for use with the Canny Collar as the slip line may not remain in place on your dog's snout.
